NOTES ON PRODUCTION OF THE IMAGES

None of the images for sale are litho prints or photocopies. They are a combination of digital images which are then hand painted by digital means.

Tablet

The painting is begun using a device known as a ‘digital tablet’. (See illustration) This enables the artist to paint or draw directly into the PC in a manner which almost exactly replicates painting onto canvas or paper.

Painting

A specialist programme is used which totally emulates media such as oils, acrylic, pastels, chalk watercolour etc., which are selected according to the needs of the artist and desired outcome. Even formerly incompatible media such as watercolour and oils can be combined.

Printing

When complete, the painting is giclee-printed on heavyweight quality matte photo-paper to proof check  for correct colour balance. This may be done several times before a final copy is made on Canvas or Epson Enhanced Matte/Semigloss papers, using Epson UltraChrome inks - (light fastness = 80 years.)

All images shown here are printed in this manner

Digital painting means that the image can be fine- tuned so that the final result is perfect for your tastes.

This also means that the finished image can be printed on a variety of surfaces as appropriate.

Finally, digital images are camera ready for the printing process, and can even be directly used for such things as business cards, letterheads, flyers etc.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss any special  needs or deals , and you will receive a free consultation  and estimate to decide if you wish to go forward.
